If he did well last year with some good luck then it is conceivable to say he has had bad luck this year, particularly with injuries. If we are agreeing he did well last season then I'd have thought he should be allowed more than half of his second season to pull it round otherwise it is just falling into the trap of short term thinking. Taking aside Saturday, even though for most of the game we played well, things have been gradually improving.

He did well last season yes but now you have to consider if that involved some serious luck, we conceded many last season though but got away with it because we scored many but now we seem to be unable to score unless it is through our wing back ffs and conceding more than last season.
We are a mess and the question what is Bilic´s philosophy? We are playing very differently than we did last season. Why? Why did he have to change his system so dramatically if it worked so well last season?

Fordy son, no one thinks he is the second coming of Jesus. Last season we did well and with a bit more luck could have finished in the top four. So he should be praised for that.
This season we've had a shit start. It happens. It even happened under the previous mansger who apparently guaranteed good results. I dont think it "proves" anything though and it's certainly a stretch to use as evidence of being right about him being "shit" while ignoring the whole of last sesson.

Watching us vs Tottenham was embarrassing, the tactics were shocking, wasted possession repeatedly and we looked like a lower league team trying to hold a lead vs a prem team ffs.

Last season was the best in 30 years, and he is the first manager in our history to get us into Europe by virtue of league position.

He wasn't my first choice, Howe was. However quickly last season it became apparent that we may have a manager on our hands for a change, but you have to look at results this season as say we've been absolutely woeful.
I'm no kneejerker, but Spurs was the straw that broke the camels back. It was another game we lost from a leading position, it was another game where he used his subs poorly and it was another game that highlighted how poor our transfers have been this season.
I like Bilic, seems a good bloke, but he has some huge weaknesses as manager which is why I think he deserves to go.
Back to Howe for me.
